Audience: New account managers joining Driftwood Landscaping. They range in age and gender with various backgrounds in education and have no knowledge about Driftwood Landscaping's clients and services.
Problem: Newly hired account managers are not fully knowledgeable about Driftwood Landscaping’s clients and services and are unable to close sales.
Solution: In order to successfully achieve their initial projected sales goal of 30% within the first 3 months of employment, module 1 of this engaging eLearning training lays the groundwork for new account managers by providing them with engaging simulation-based learning and evaluation on Driftwood Landscaping's clients, services, and making the best match to fulfill client's needs.
Process: In developing the eLearning course, a meticulous approach was employed, beginning with a needs analysis, research, and action mapping to identify knowledge gaps and determine learning goals. A comprehensive design document and storyboard were created to outline the structure and interactive elements of the training with the content strategically chunked to reduce cognitive load. The training came to life in Articulate Storyline during the development stage with engaging storylines and simulations for practical skill application, interactivity, and retention. Iterating based on multiple rounds of feedback, a comprehensive learning experience was delivered and would be published and implemented in adherence to compliance standards specific to Driftwood Landscaping’s requirements (SCORM, xAPI, et al.).
Highlights: The course incorporates integration through characters and narration in the office at Driftwood Landscaping to provide compelling storytelling. Learners follow these characters as they learn and are guided through a continuous scenario throughout the training with practice and feedback.
Real-life simulations, scenarios, and relatable narratives are accompanied by visual representations of the clients, services, and environments to immerse learners in this comprehensive eLearning training.
Interactivity using creative Branching Scenarios, Accordions, Freeform Drag and Drop, Freeform Pick One, Pop Up, Click to Reveal, and Tabs interactions bring the eLearning training to life with engagement.
Evaluation: Kirkpatrick’s Level 2 was utilized to gauge, reinforce, and assess learner’s ability to apply what they’ve learned through performance-based knowledge checks and assessment. Audience: Front desk receptionists at Mina Luna Wellness Center. They range in age and gender with various backgrounds in education. They've been working at the wellness center for at least 1 year, but don't know about meditation or the Guided Meditation Sessions.
Problem: Mina Luna Wellness Center recently started providing Guided Meditation Sessions and noticed that participation is much lower than expected. Front desk receptionists are causing client frustration due to their lack of knowledge about the Guided Meditation Sessions and meditation in general, which makes the clients not want to sign up for the Sessions.
Solution: This dynamic eLearning training provides front desk receptionists with interactive scenario-based learning and evaluation on the benefits of meditation, Guided Meditation Sessions, and validating client experiences to strengthen client communication protocol and increase the participation rate of the Guided Meditation Sessions by 40% by the end of the year.
Process: In developing the eLearning course, a thoughtful approach was utilized, starting with a needs assessment, research, and action mapping to discover performance gaps and define learning outcomes. A high-level design document was crafted as the roadmap for the training and outlines the course structure and its content chunked to reduce cognitive load. During the development stage in Articulate Rise, these scenarios and real-life simulations were crafted to enhance engagement, retention, and practical application. After multiple rounds of iterating based on feedback, a cohesive learning solution was delivered and would be published and implemented in adherence to compliance standards specific to Mina Luna Wellness Center’s requirements (SCORM, xAPI, et al.).

Interactivity is implemented using Labeled Graphics and Branching Scenarios as well as Tabs, Matching, Accordion, Process, and Drag and Drop interactions to enhance the eLearning training.

Audience: Musicians, composers, arrangers and publishers. They have a background in music and an understanding of how to read music and use computers, but are unfamiliar with the Sibelius software.
Problem: Learning materials for Sibelius were for previous versions of the software and only in a book/PDF format, rendering them out of date and difficult for users to learn how to use the current software. Sibelius users often had to guess or rely on external resources to learn how to use the software.
Solution: This dynamic Articulate Rise course, SB120: Fundamentals of Notation with Sibelius, provides learners with comprehensive training and assessment on the Sibelius interface, navigating the Ribbon, note input, using shortcuts, and creating, editing, and sharing their score in 10 sequential modules to enable users across the globe with the fundamental methods needed to master the Sibelius software and achieve certification.
Process: In developing SB120, a meticulous approach was applied with the SMEs and stakeholders, starting with an analysis of user needs and previous training content to identify gaps and define learning goals. A robust storyboard was created, outlining the structure and interactive elements of the course strategically chunked to reduce cognitive load. During the development stage, collaboration deepened as the training was brought to life in Articulate Rise. Simulations, tutorials, and real-life examples were created to enhance engagement, interactivity, and practical application with videos, GIFs, images, and various interactions using Camtasia, Canva, and Adobe Photoshop. The accompanying facilitator guide and slide decks were developed along with 18 microlearning videos. After multiple rounds of iteration based on SME and stakeholder feedback, SB120 was delivered as a SCORM package and published and implemented through the LearnUpon LMS in adherence with Avid Technologies Inc. requirements. The course was further updated to provide training on software enhancements.
